About us
At Zen Waters CIC, we are a community of trained professionals united by a shared commitment to supporting others. Our work focuses on addressing abuse, bullying, personal safety, and awareness through compassionate, trauma-informed and community-led support.

All staff and volunteers are fully trained, appropriately vetted, and operate in line with robust safeguarding and confidentiality policies. We are here to support individuals to take their first step towards safety, confidence, and a positive new chapter.

Mission
Our mission at Zen Waters CIC is to support individuals who are experiencing, or have experienced, abuse in all its forms, regardless of background or circumstance. As a community-led organisation, we prioritise public benefit by delivering safe, accessible, and inclusive support that enables people to recover, rebuild confidence, and move forward positively.

We are committed to raising awareness of abuse, reducing stigma, and removing financial barriers by securing funding that allows those affected to access counselling, personal safety programmes, and funded training opportunities. Our work ensures individuals are supported to take the first step towards a safer, more stable, and empowered future.

Vision
Our vision at Zen Waters CIC is a society in which abuse is challenged, prevented, and addressed through awareness, early intervention, and strong community support. While we recognise that abuse cannot be eliminated entirely, we believe that creating meaningful change for even one individual delivers genuine public benefit.
Every person we support represents real impact. By helping individuals move towards safety, recovery, confidence, and independence, we strengthen not only lives, but the wider community as a whole.

Community-Led Special Projects
To maximise social impact, Zen Waters CIC delivers targeted initiatives that address both recovery and long-term opportunity:

The Martial Hearts Project
A community-based programme providing fully funded access to structured martial arts training for children and young people facing challenging life circumstances. The project focuses on confidence-building, discipline, emotional regulation, positive role modelling, and a sense of belonging within a safe, supportive environment.

The All Women Can Project
A women-focused initiative offering a safe and inclusive pathway for recovery, empowerment, and progression. The project provides:
-
Personal safety and self-defence training
-
Confidence-building and wellbeing support
-
Access to counselling and trauma-informed guidance
-
Fully funded training in therapeutic disciplines, enabling women to retrain, gain recognised qualifications, and rebuild their lives through a new career pathway
-
By combining emotional support, physical empowerment, and professional training, The All Women Can Project supports women not only to heal, but to move forward with purpose, independence, and sustainable employment opportunities.
